Description

The Zastava ZPAP85 is a semi-automatic pistol built on the proven AK platform, chambered in 5.56×45mm and configured for compact, high-energy performance. Featuring a 10-inch cold hammer forged, chrome-lined barrel with an effective muzzle brake, the ZPAP85 delivers durability and longevity while managing recoil and muzzle rise typical of short-barreled rifle-caliber firearms. The blued finish and robust construction reflect Zastava’s long history of military manufacturing, giving the pistol a distinctly utilitarian and battle-ready character.

Structurally, the ZPAP85 stands out with its heavy 1.5mm dimpled receiver and bulged front trunnion, components designed to withstand the stresses of the 5.56 NATO cartridge. The hinged top cover enhances ease of maintenance, while the Krinkov-style rear sight and post front sight provide a compact but effective iron sight system. Additional features such as the bolt hold-open notch on the selector and the synthetic pistol grip contribute to improved handling and user control. Overall, the ZPAP85 represents a rugged and well-engineered AK-pattern pistol that blends traditional Eastern European design with modern functional enhancements.
