Description

The RML is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in the classic 7.62x39mm cartridge, known for its reliability and performance. Produced between 1993 and 1995, the RML was imported into the U.S. by PARS International Corp. during this period and sold with a distinctive thumbhole stock, which was popular for American import versions of AK-style rifles. This rifle features a 16-inch barrel, with the threads completely removed from the end, distinguishing it from other variants like the ARM, which had a tack-welded muzzle nut. The RML’s design maintains the strong, rugged construction typical of AKM derivatives, ensuring dependable function in various conditions.

The RML’s finish is a matte black, providing a durable and utilitarian appearance, while the rifle’s stock is made of smooth walnut, offering both comfort and an aesthetic contrast to the firearm’s more utilitarian components. The rifle is equipped with a wing-protected blade front sight and an adjustable tangent rear sight, allowing for easy aiming and adjustments based on shooting distance. As with most AK derivatives, the RML is known for its simplicity and durability, which has contributed to its strong following among collectors, especially in the United States, where it stands as one of the more sought-after variants of the AK rifle family. The rifle also features an Egyptian-proof mark on the left side of the frame, adding to its historical and collectible appeal. With its proven design and unique production history, the RML is a prized piece for those interested in AK variants.
